Modular contactor has the same function as the traditional contactor. It opens or closes the circuit of the main contact part through the control coil, and transmits the use status signal of the load through the auxiliary contact. But, it different as the traditional contactor, it has a smaller Modular unit (9mm/unit), 1P is 18mm, 2P is 36mm, 3P is 54mm, 4P is 72mm, the current range from 1A to 100A, it can be used with other modular size guide rail protection devices, the use of space is more flexible and suitable for a variety of scenarios.
The modular contactor is divided into AC contactor (voltage AC) and DC contactor (voltage DC). It is suitable for power, distribution and power consumption. In a broad sense, a modular contactor refers to an electrical appliance that uses coil current to generate a magnetic field to close contact and control load.
AC contactor uses the main contact to open and close circuits, and auxiliary contact to conduct a control circuit. The main contact is normally open. The auxiliary contact usually has two pairs of normally open contacts and normally closed contacts. Small contractors are often used as intermediate relays with the main circuit. The contact of the AC contactor is made of silver tungsten alloy, which has good conductivity and high-temperature ablation resistance.
