    What is the difference between DC MCB and AC MCB?

    Mini Circuit Breaker (MCB), also known as miniature circuit breaker, is a current-limiting, high-breakage miniature circuit breaker with overload and short-circuit double protection.With advanced structure, reliable performance, strong breaking capacity, beautiful and compact appearance, etc., the miniature circuit breaker is widely used in industrial, commercial, high-rise and civil housing and other places.

    DC Mini Circuit Breaker:

    ①DC Current Characteristics: DC MCBs are able to adapt to the continuous and stable characteristics of DC current without naturally crossing zero as in AC current.
    ②Special design: DC MCBs are usually equipped with special contact materials and interrupter chamber designs to cope with the continuous characteristics of DC arcs.
    ③Overload protection: DC MCBs are able to effectively prevent overloads due to overcharging of batteries or reverse currents in PV systems.

    AC Mini Circuit Breaker:

    ①AC CURRENT CHARACTERISTICS: AC circuit breakers are suitable for AC currents and are able to utilise the natural zero crossing point of the current to break the circuit more easily.
    ②Wide range of applications: AC circuit breakers are suitable for AC power distribution in most standard residential and commercial buildings, as well as in industrial environments.
    ③Cost Effective: AC circuit breakers are typically more economical than DC MCBs due to their wide range of applications and production scale.

    Usage Scenarios:

    ——DC Power Systems: For DC power systems, such as solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage systems, etc., DC MCBs are a more suitable choice because they are specifically designed to handle the characteristics of DC current.

    ——AC Power Systems: For standard AC power systems, such as power distribution in homes, offices and industrial facilities, AC circuit breakers provide an economical and effective protection solution.
